Privacy & Compliance: State Momentum Continues
The push for stronger data privacy laws isn't slowing down. New Jersey has introduced legislation that would ban the sale of sensitive data, including precise geolocation data, while requiring data brokers and data collectors to register with the state and provide greater transparency into their data collection and governance practices.
What this means: As privacy requirements become more stringent, organizations need data partners that are built for a changing regulatory landscape. Veraset has implemented a standardized privacy-first approach across applicable jurisdictions, ensuring that data subject to these laws is distributed only at compliant, privacy-safe levels of precision. Privacy & Compliance: California's DROP Platform
Beginning August 1, California residents will have a new, streamlined way to exercise their privacy rights through the state's DELETE REQUEST and OPT-OUT PLATFORM (DROP). The launch of DROP is another step toward making privacy rights easier to access and giving Californians more control over how their personal information is used.
What this means: Veraset remains committed to supporting consumer privacy rights and complying with evolving privacy regulations, as detailed below:
Veraset is integrated with the California DROP platform and is ready to receive and process requests beginning August 1.
California residents can submit a DROP request, and Veraset will honor valid requests in accordance with applicable law.
Consumers may also continue to submit requests directly through Veraset's existing privacy rights process if they prefer.
Mobility Data 101: Understanding RTB Data
Almost every time someone opens an app or website with advertising, a real-time auction determines which ad to display. Those auctions generate location signals that, when responsibly sourced and processed, can provide valuable insights into real-world movement. While both H3 and Geohash divide the world into grids for spatial analysis, they were built with different goals in mind. Geohash uses a familiar rectangular grid that's widely adopted across mapping and database applications, while H3 uses a hexagonal grid designed for more consistent spatial analysis and large-scale geospatial modeling.
