Product Update: A Closer Look at Curated

We’re updating our Curated mobility dataset with more selective quality criteria. The newly released Curated movement dataset will include new device-level quality checks and stricter location precision requirements. Beyond checking individual records, it evaluates whether a device provides enough observations throughout the day and has been seen before.

What this means: If you’re not currently using Curated movement data, the added quality checks make it worth considering for trip analysis, dwell-time measurement and visit attribution. Curated customers will see lower data volume as more selective filtering removes unreliable signals, with the reduction varying by market.

From the Blog: What Makes Mobility Data High Quality?

What should you look for when evaluating mobility data quality? Our latest blogpost breaks down the factors that matter: location accuracy, coverage volume, consistency and how the data is sourced and filtered.

What this means: Quality depends on what you need the data to do. Measuring visits to a small storefront requires different observations than studying movement across an entire region. Knowing which questions to ask can help you choose data that supports your analysis. Read the blogpost.

Mobility Data in Action: Planning for Major Public Events

A new World Bank case study used aggregated and anonymized Veraset mobility data to examine activity around Istanbul’s Republic Day celebrations. Observed activity began rising the day before the celebration, peaked on Republic Day, and returned close to typical levels within a few days. The increases extended across transport hubs, public spaces, commercial areas and service locations.

What this means: Planning for a major event requires understanding activity beyond the main event site(s) and date(s). Mobility data can help cities identify where and when demand changes, informing public transport planning, crowd management and service allocation for future events. Read the case study.

From EDUCAUSE to DPAA: Mobility Data Learnings

Our recent stops at EDUCAUSE and Advertising Week New York gave us opportunities to explore how mobility data can support research, audience insights, media planning and measurement. At Tuesday’s DPAA Global Summit, those conversations focused on DOOH planning, campaign measurement, and the importance of real and quality data.

What this means: Conversations with clients, prospects and partners help us understand how you’re using mobility data and what you need from it. As we plan our 2027 events calendar, let us know where you’ll be. In the meantime, you don’t need to wait for an event to connect — reach out to discuss your use case or see a demo.
